Znojmo from the last, 6th volume of Georg Braun`s (1541-1622) and Franz Hogenberg`s (1535-1590) atlas Civitates orbis terrarum, published by Peter von Brachel in Cologne between 1572 and 1618. Copper engraving on paper, 50.5x32.3 cm, legend in the upper right corner. mounted, framed, glazed. The sheet is folded vertically in the middle, a cut-out at the back with an accompanying text about the city on the reverse side of the view.
