Book format 8°, 22,5x16 cm. 230 numbered pages, in Czech, translated by Dr. Jiří Guth. Illustrated by Léon Benett (1839-1916) - with 6 full-page chromotypes. Hardcover cloth binding: red, beveled edges with embossed ornaments and an affixed picture on the front cover. In this binding, books were published in the series "Vilímkova knihovna mládeže dospívající" and "Dobrodružné cesty." Books were bound in this binding type until the year 1900 when the warehouse was destroyed by a fire during Christmas. Published by Josef Richard Vilímek in Prague until 1900 in the edition "Dobrodružné cesty". Good condition, slightly worn binding, some dirty sheets, torn upper edge of the title page (c. 1 cm).
