Watercolour on paper, 65x43,5 cm, signed lower left "M. Doležalová". mounted, framed, glazed. Bohumila (Míla) Doleželová was an academic painter whose main source of inspiration were gypsies, their emotional life and related themes. She lived and died in Vysočina, where she left a monumental work consisting of frescoes, countless oil paintings and graphic prints. Her illustrations for Příběhy dávné Indie (The Tales of Ancient India) and gypsy fairy tales published under the title Zpívající housle, are also well-known.
